The Lady of Undoer of Knots captivated Pope Francis that he promoted this Marian devotion in Argentina even as a Cardinal.

The Marian devotion dates back to the second century. To visualize it, we are talking about a timeline just less than 100 years after the death of the apostles.
Through the writings of St. Irenaeus of Lyons (Ante-Nicene Fathers), “the knot of Eve's disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary. For what the virgin Eve had bound fast through unbelief, this did the virgin Mary set free through faith.”
As Eve stood beside Adam, she is the “Co-sinner” while as Mary, at the foot of the cross with her son Jesus, she is the “Co-redemptress”. This mean that Mary cooperates or works with Jesus in the redemption of mankind.
